Interpolation with large ratios of grid spacings

Hi all,
I am trying to create initial and lateral boundary conditions for a grid with 300 m grid spacing from a previous convection-permitting simulation with 3 km grid spacing. So, the ratio between the grid spacing is 1:10.

Actually, INT2LM (version 3.0) should do a simple bi-linear interpolation. However, it creates unrealistic plumes and stripes instead of smooth transitions between the centers of the grid cells of the 3 km grid.

Do you have any idea,  how this can be solved?

Here is a figure that shows QV of the lowest model level with 300 m grid spacing.

Best, Heimo
